Beside the lake*

Beside the lake
Beneath those trees,
How at twilight hours
We oft did meet,
The water held a silky shine
At Dusk, whence we sang for Love Divine,

Beside that lake
Beneath those trees,
How at twilight I did see
Upon the still water of the lake
Your calm blessed Face.
