A century hence, from Today*

A century hence from today
Who art thou reading a poem mine,
With curiosity-
A century hence from today;

Perhaps me wilt not be able to send to You
The joys of the newest spring day,
Sharing with You a bud, a blossom, a song of a bird,
A word for the beauteous dusk,
Filled with love for you , mine,
Drenched for You, all,

A century hence from today,
Filled with the joys of the newest spring day,
I will not be able to send,Happiness of the day,
To You.

(*Note : the transliteration is done by me, as a humble tribute to Rabindranath Tagore, on His Birth Anniversary)

  1. * beautiful lines.
    Just reminded a haiku.
    I may not be here
    tomorrow, but my dreams
    may wander here..

    after visiting a field
