The Flower Girl*

The Flower Girl*

Often in the Vast field of Flowers
Of mustard, yellow and green,
That Flower Girl can be seen
With her basket standing still
And gathering the little buds and blooms,
Oft in mustard fields , as huge as the sea
Covering ten thousand miles, there is to see,
The girl gathering little things , in her basket,
Like the morning gathers colors
Spread some hundred acres
Of land not to be measured
By man, huge as it runs across
Quite an earthly canvas.
