Down the way*

Down the way,
Whence the day
Broke with smiles,
How by chance
Once we met,
As came the morn
With a beauteous glance,

The Sun peeping quiet and low,
How we came to where
Flowers bloomed with a glow,
The valley seemed to be so gay,
Down the way
Whence the day
Broke with smiles,
How by LOVE
We just traveled
A few hundred
Wonderous miles,

The valley seemed to be
Full of blossoms so lovely

And we met
By chance
As the morning
Came to us
With a beauteous glance,
Poised as if to take away
Where light and love
Mixed perfect,
Like a breaking of a day.
