On the sublime, me catches you...

On the sublime,
dear,
me catches you,
As promises melt through the evening air,
As promises catch the taillight of that car somewhere
Taking on the road, an off roader born,

On the sublime
Of this evening
me catches hues
Of You,

And you know that true,
How on sublime
Every thing writes
How birds homebound catch signals bright
How through a telescope Galileo wrote a history
How gold is turned by simple agape, a curious chemistry,
How Copernicus one evening wrote a galaxy,
How a terrace becomes a festive song,
How with drums once a 'Starr '
Brought beaten hope from farthest of the far...

On the sublime
dear
me catches you,
Forever...
