An evening of a kind

It had been an evening of a kind
We were both out of home to find
What was there left for me and you
Sailing as we were, where sky met  the blue;

The surf and the foam glistened quite
And how we two drenched by silvery light
Thought how our worlds got intertwined
It had been such an evening of a kind.
